Pick up the portable wifi device at ICN terminal one was very easy and quick.  Just showed my passport ID and reservation number.  The staff turned it on and asked me to connect my phone by scanning the QR code on the device.  My phone easily linked to the device and the staff asked me to go to a website to make sure it's working. Worked great!
They gave me the case that it comes in with all the charging cables and even includes a portable battery to charge the device it needed. I did have to use it to charge both the device and my phone so it came in handy.  It has 2 USB charging ports so you can charge both devices at the same time.  
During my 1 week stay in Korea, it worked everywhere and I had good wifi connection the entire time.  
I'd highly recommend this over your phone carriers international data services because it can be spotty at time and in certain areas.
