Our Visit
Today, I visited the Thai hotel-style therapy ‘Cassia Thai Hongdae Main Branch’ located near Exit 8 of Hongdae Station.
Since it’s right in the center of a hot place, it was the perfect spot to spend a whole day enjoying Hongdae.
When you arrive at the shop, first take off your shoes and show your Creatrip reservation at the counter, and the friendly staff will hand you the prepared massage clothes!
After receiving your clothes, just follow the directions to the changing room!
This is a massage shop that both men and women can use, with separate changing rooms for women and men, so you can use it comfortably without any inconvenience.
The first thing I noticed as soon as I entered the changing room was how clean it was.
The floor, lockers, and sinks were all neatly organized, and the subtle fragrance made me feel at ease the moment I walked in.
Various amenities were thoughtfully prepared in the shower room.
All the items needed for showering and simple grooming—such as mouthwash, disposable toothbrush and toothpaste, hair ties, rubber bands, cotton swabs, and a hair dryer—were provided, so I was able to use the facilities without any inconvenience during my trip. This kind of attention to detail made me feel the care and consideration for guests.
There was even a restroom inside the changing room, so I didn’t have to go outside to use it, which was extremely convenient!
There was also a shower room inside the changing room, so if you feel uncomfortable with any residue from the aroma oil or cream after your massage, you can wash it off right away.
However, it is recommended to leave the aroma oil and cream on for about 2–3 hours to allow them to be fully absorbed into the body!
After changing, you can put all your belongings in a locker, lock it, and keep the key with you!
After changing and stepping outside, a foot bath was prepared.
The feet are called the “second heart” because they are such an important part of the body. Just soaking your feet can improve blood circulation and raise your body temperature, which naturally relaxes your whole body.
As soon as I put my feet in the warm water, I could feel my fatigue slowly melting away and a pleasant drowsiness washing over me.
There was a friendly explanation of the effects of the foot bath on the information sheet, and on the back, there was a menu where you could choose a drink to enjoy after your massage, so you could select your preferred beverage in advance.
A wide variety of drinks were available, from refreshing cold beverages to warm teas, so it was nice to be able to choose according to your taste.
Enjoying the foot bath with the warm tea provided helped me relax and truly feel healed.
The foot bath lasted about 5–10 minutes. This time is not included in the treatment time, so you can enjoy it at your leisure!
After the foot bath, the therapist carefully dried my feet and guided me to the room.
After being guided to a private room separated from others, the full-scale massage began.
The room was designed for two people to enter at the same time, so friends or couples could visit and enjoy healing together.
Today, the editor chose a dry massage, which started from the feet and slowly worked its way up to the upper body.
At first, it was a light warm-up stage pressing from the feet to the upper body, but even then, the therapist’s touch was truly exceptional.
It didn’t just feel like applying pressure, but as if the therapist was pinpointing the tension in my muscles. They also checked in frequently to see if the pressure was comfortable, so I could receive the massage at just the right intensity without any discomfort.
They also focused on loosening my neck and shoulders, which are always stiff because I spend a lot of time in front of a monitor.
But as soon as the therapist’s skilled hands touched me, all the accumulated fatigue seemed to melt away in an instant.
After evenly massaging the whole body once, the therapist meticulously worked on every muscle, making me think, “Did I even have muscles here?”
They used a variety of techniques to thoroughly relieve even areas I normally wouldn’t pay attention to, which was truly impressive.
I especially want to highly recommend the lower body massage to travelers.
People visiting Korea usually walk a lot all day, so it’s easy for their legs to swell and fatigue to build up.
After getting the lower body massage, all the fatigue that had been weighing down my legs was completely relieved, and my legs felt truly light.
They also incorporated stretching movements here and there, so it wasn’t just a massage—my muscles felt nicely stretched and revitalized.
After finishing the massage on the back side, I lay on my back and the front side massage continued.
Again, starting from the feet, they carefully worked through the entire lower body, and this time they paid even more detailed attention to specific areas.
The arm and hand massage was especially memorable—they carefully pressed and stretched each finger joint, relieving fatigue I didn’t even know I had.
If you use your smartphone or keyboard a lot, I think just this hand massage alone would be extremely satisfying.
After finishing the upper and lower body massage, they wrapped my head in a towel and gave a focused massage to my neck and scalp.
Thanks to the gentle scalp stimulation and neck stretching, I felt my head clear up as well.
Finally, they finished with a full-body stretch.
All I had to do was trust the therapist, and my whole body was stretched out and all my fatigue melted away—I truly experienced real healing.
After all the massages were finished and I stepped outside, the warm tea I had ordered in advance during the foot bath was ready for me.
After relaxing my body with the massage, sipping warm tea while looking out at the lively Hongdae streets made all the fatigue of the day melt away, and I felt a true moment of healing that calmed my mind as well.
The massage I received at ‘Cassia Thai Hongdae Main Branch’ was more than just relieving fatigue—it was a special experience that relaxed both my body and mind.
Every touch from the professional therapist delicately relieved my tense muscles, even easing muscle knots I normally wouldn’t notice.
If you want to recover your tired body and mind from travel or daily life, or if you just want to spend a relaxing and comfortable time, I highly recommend visiting ‘Cassia Thai Hongdae Main Branch’ when you’re in Hongdae.
It’s more than just a massage—you’ll experience a perfect healing time that satisfies both body and mind!
