Our Visit
Today, I visited ‘MyShopper Apgujeong Branch’ to receive a fashion body consultation.
‘MyShopper’ is a place where you can receive a comprehensive service that goes beyond simple style diagnosis, including personal color, makeup, body shape analysis, and fashion consulting.
It's located in Apgujeong, making it a great place to visit leisurely after enjoying shopping or sightseeing nearby.
Already in Korea, many celebrities have visited, and it has been featured on TV several times as a famous place.
The first floor is decorated as a makeup space, and I went up to the second floor to get fashion body consulting.
This is the space where I'll be getting my consultation today!
First, we completed membership registration using the pre-interview form, diagnostic cards, and an iPad that will be used for today's consultation.
The special thing about this place was that they don't measure body shape by hand, but use a 3D body scanner!
I signed up first in order to receive the body shape analysis results through the scanner.

The scale was bigger than I expected, and the professional equipment made me feel even more confident, so my expectations for the consulting also went up :)
In the scanner booth, take off your clothes and stand on the platform wearing only your underwear to be scanned.

For an accurate analysis, you should be scanned wearing only underwear, but please note that I wore clothes for the shoot.
If you stand on the platform with your fists clenched and your arms slightly apart, the scan will be completed in about 2 to 3 minutes!
After the scan is finished, you just need to change into the disposable clothes provided in the changing room and come out.
After finishing the scan, I returned to the consulting room and filled out the pre-interview questionnaire.
The content consisted of basic questions, such as asking about usual style, preferred image, and desired direction, for a clearer analysis.
This interview is also available in English and Chinese, so foreigners can understand it easily without worrying about the language.

First, the consulting began with an overall explanation of the theories related to fashion consulting.
I was familiar with personal color analysis, but since it was my first time with fashion consulting, it felt a bit unfamiliar. However, the step-by-step explanation starting from the basics made it much easier to understand.
What was especially impressive was that they systematically organized personal color and fashion consulting into nine styles right here!
I could really feel the expertise and passion for consulting :)
After the theory explanation ended, the face shape diagnosis officially began.
Instead of just looking with the naked eye, they used a camera to take photos and analyzed them using more objective criteria.

The face was divided into the upper, middle, and lower regions, and the lengths of each were measured precisely,
The results were carefully recorded on the diagnostic sheet.
It was really interesting to be able to objectively check the proportions of my face!

This time, they took photos of both the left and right sides of my face to analyze which side could be a stronger point.
I was always curious about which side of my face looked better, and it's really amazing and satisfying to have it explained in such detail like this!
Also, by taking the photo with my chin raised, they even checked the degree of facial asymmetry, so I felt that the diagnosis was really detailed and systematic.
The face shape analysis was carried out in such a thorough and interesting way, so I became even more excited for the upcoming consulting!
After the diagnosis, the explanation was given using celebrity photos as examples to help with understanding,
I was able to understand more easily which styles suit my face shape.

Now, they directly held various patterns up to my face and checked one by one which patterns suited me best.
They didn’t just look at the types of patterns, but also compared details like size, thickness, direction, and contrast,
and it was fascinating because they explained everything by taking into account my personal features, such as my facial features, jawline, and skin texture.
Above all, it was much easier to understand and more fun because I could see the differences for myself as they actually held the patterns up to my face while explaining.

This time, I tried draping even more diverse styles, such as checkered patterns and floral patterns, on my face.
I usually haven't tried this style, but you specifically told me which check patterns and colors suit me
I gained confidence in my vague sense of style, and this opportunity made me think that I really should give it a try at least once!

This time, I tried draping various necklines,
They recommended a V-neck rather than a round neck, taking into account the shape of my face, the length and thickness of my neck, etc.
They mentioned that it might be best to avoid turtlenecks with awkward neck lengths or off-shoulder tops that completely expose the shoulders.
I liked that you organized and checked the test results directly on the diagnosis card, so there was no need to write anything down or remember every detail!
Also, while getting the diagnosis, I realized that it was similar to the styles I usually prefer and those I don't,
so learning the reason made it an even more meaningful and helpful experience :)

Considering skin texture, translucency, and face shape, I usually find that natural materials suit me well
They told me that it's best to avoid synthetic materials like nylon or leather.
Even after the material diagnosis was completed, they carefully organized the details on the diagnosis card!
Thanks to this, I was able to refer to the diagnosis card at home and immediately apply it to my daily life, which was really helpful.
As a result of completing the diagnosis like this, out of the nine types, the natural type was the best fit for me, and I was also recommended the soft and clean types.
I also received an additional explanation about the type that suits me, using a PPT to help me understand the content more intuitively.
Listening to the explanation like this, I was really amazed to clearly understand how it connects to the personal color you mentioned at first!
By showing it organized on a board with photos and content like this, it was much more helpful because I could easily understand how to use it in real life at a glance!
This time, we conducted a body shape analysis based on the results from the body scanner we used earlier.
If you take a proper photo wearing only underwear, you can check your body shape as an intuitive 3D character like in the photo,
It is said that the measurement results for each body part are recorded accurately!
It is said that after accessing through the QR code on the diagnostic card and entering the membership registration information you provided at the beginning, you can view it later as well.
Based on the measurement results, they explained the body type in more detail for each body part.
Starting from the neck, you carefully analyzed the upper body, including the shoulders, arms, and chest,
It was easy to understand because you explained thoroughly about the lower body areas such as the pelvis, hips, waist, thighs, and calves.
The advice addressed my usual concerns and also recommended styles that highlight my body shape, which was really helpful.
And they also sent today’s diagnosis type result file by email!
The file was also provided in English and Chinese, so it was really great to be able to check and use it anytime without worrying about the language.
