Our Visit
Today, I visited VOID Cheongdam by Park Chul, a famous salon in Korea to get Hair & Makeup + Scalp Spa Shampoo. The building caught my eye with its neat and beautiful exterior, and the trendy interior with a gray tone was also very pretty.
They prepared iced Americano and a simple snack while I waited briefly.
Please leave your coat in the locker and put on the gown before starting.
First, I started with the scaling spa shampoo treatment. They sprayed a scaling product on the scalp and softened the dead skin cells with an infrared machine. It took about 10 minutes, and my scalp gradually felt cool and refreshed.
After thoroughly applying scalp shampoo to the head, they also proceeded with a scalp massage. The shampoo smelled good and the massage was so relaxing that I felt truly rejuvenated.
Then I went to the shampoo station to get a head spa for about 10 minutes. I felt a cooling sensation all over my head, which was nice.
They rinsed off the shampoo cleanly, applied a scalp pack, and finished up with a simple massage.
I went back to my seat, finished drying my hair, and then went to get my makeup done with only my bangs fixed. The scaling spa shampoo procedure took about 30 to 40 minutes in total.
Before starting makeup, you can cleanse your face in the bathroom with the provided cleansing foam and towel. It's okay to come with sunscreen on as cleansing foam is provided.
This is where I will get my makeup done today. Thinking about receiving it in a private and pretty space made me feel like a celebrity, so I was looking forward to it. In fact, you can visit this place with confidence knowing that many famous celebrities are getting styling here.
There are a variety of products prepared in the makeup room. It's okay to bring and show pictures of your favorite actors or idols, but the makeup artist can also do a style that suits you.
Today, I asked for the makeup style that suits me the best. It may vary for each person, but usually, makeup takes about 40-50 minutes.
She started with basic care first. She said that basic products can be used by people with various skin types without much worry about getting skin troubles.
Next, she applied sunscreen. Most foreign guests have to wear makeup and enjoy their trip outside, so she said sunscreen is a must. For reference, I recommend visiting in the morning to receive perfect styling before starting your trip and enjoy it all day long!
Now, we moved into base makeup by applying foundation. She said that this process is also tailored to each person's skin tone and preferences as much as possible because everyone has a different skin tone. She focused on durability and coverage especially for customers who need to travel, to minimize the need for touch-up makeup.
After carefully finishing the base makeup using concealer, she lightly defined the contours with shading and blush. It depends on the artist, but the makeup artist in charge today will outline everything one more time at the end of the process.
Eyebrows are one of the main points in makeup, She said that you can draw according to the shape of your eyebrows or, if you want the Korean style, she will ask for consent and then also proceed with a simple eyebrow tidying. She drew my eyebrows naturally to match my eyebrow shape and today's makeup.
Now, we moved on to eye makeup. First, she uses an eye primer.
Applying false eyelashes can be tricky, but she took her time and applied them carefully to suit my eye shape. After finishing the makeup, she even mentioned that customers are welcome to take photos of the products used that day, which I thought was a nice touch. I especially appreciated how she pointed out which items could be found at Olive Young!
After going through a more detailed eye makeup process, she finished up the initial shading and blush.
Lip makeup was the last step, and all the makeup is now finished. I felt so good because the artist did my makeup perfectly in a comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere.
Now if you go back to the hair stylist, they will do your hair. This process may differ for each person, but it takes about 30-40 minutes. You can show a photo of your desired hairstyle. I asked for a hairstyle that matches my makeup, and he took care of everything meticulously!
