Things to Keep in Mind
The on-site makeup program does not include hair styling. We recommend finding a rental service for traditional Korean attire (hanbok) that includes hairstyling.
Bringing photos of your desired style can help achieve the look you want.
In the payment step, please enter the name of the Hanbok rental company handling the on-site makeup service.
The makeup artist may reach out before arrival, so keep an eye on your email and social media.
Refunds aren’t available if the service can’t proceed due to an incorrect Hanbok rental company name.
Apply only basic skincare, like toner and lotion, beforehand.

Our Visit
Today, I used the *Miyu* mobile makeup service for a photo shoot at Gyeongbokgung! After renting a hanbok nearby, I set up in a space with a mirror and table ready for my makeup session.
The makeup artist arrived with a range of cosmetics, featuring a variety of eye-catching colors. Today, three of us editors will each take turns getting K-style makeup.
Before starting, the makeup artist asked about my preferred style. I wanted a natural look, so I requested minimal makeup. The first step was the base—using a brush, the artist applied foundation evenly across my face.
Then, using a puff, the artist gently tapped the foundation to help it adhere closely to my skin.
With the base complete, we moved on to eye makeup. The artist applied shadow to add depth to my eyelids, then carefully placed false eyelashes for a finishing touch.
After finishing the eyelashes, she used a pencil liner to shape the brows, matching them to my face shape and hair color for a natural blend.
She completed the cheek makeup with a powder blush that matched my skin tone.
Finally, she used a lip liner to add volume, finishing with a pop of lip color. I was pleased with how well the makeup matched my usual look, and the photos turned out great!
Now my friend has taken a seat to get their makeup done. To speed things up, she decided to do her own base makeup and get help starting from the color makeup stage.
As before, shadow was applied over the eyelids to add depth. Each of us has different colors and styles that suit us, and the artist quickly tailored the makeup to fit each person well. My friend suggested skipping eyeliner, so she used only shadow for a softer effect.
After applying eyeshadow, the artist used an eyelash curler to curl the lashes. Her skill was impressive, so there was no worry about pinching or discomfort during the process.
After curling the lashes, the artist applied false eyelashes. My friend said she’s always struggled to apply them herself, but with the makeup artist's skilled hands, she had long, beautiful lashes in no time.
To set the lashes and increase their longevity, she used clear mascara. The artist worked quickly, making each step smooth and efficient, which was great.
A touch of blush finished off the makeup! Check out the final look in the photo below.
It’s almost time for our other friend's makeup! She mentioned they usually go for a look that emphasizes dried rose tones and shading. The artist noted that this style perfectly suits her overall image.
We picked an eye makeup color that matches her usual style, adding shadow for depth on the eyelids and a touch of glitter on the aegyo-sal to highlight it.
The eyelashes, the most crucial part of the eye makeup, were styled in the same way as before.
Our friend wore long eyelashes that suited them perfectly. I could really see the attention to detail, as the artist used different types of false lashes to match each person’s preference.
After finishing the eye makeup, the artist moved on to nose shading. For photo shoot makeup, adding a deep shading effect is key.
For the finishing touch, the artist applied lipstick. My friend was pleased with the process, as they recommended styles and products that suited het perfectly.
The Korean-style makeup is complete! Although three of us received makeup, each session was quick, making the process efficient and satisfying. I also appreciated how the makeup was tailored to match each person’s unique personality and style.
