Our Visit

Today, I visited 'Danha Hanbok,' near Anguk Station and Gyeongbokgung Palace, to participate in a one-day class for making traditional Korean accessories.

Make your own unique Norigae, a popular Korean accessory, with knots, beads, and pendants. The Bojagi bag, made from Hanbok-like fabric, has a luxurious feel with its beautiful patterns.

Upon entering the store, you'll see the materials for the class are already set up on the table. There are also various pendants that you can decorate with tassels.

The knotting kit provided in the class includes knotting thread, basic pendant, basic knot, and a tassel. The pendant in the photo is an additional pendant that can be chosen on-site with extra payment.

These special pendant designs can only be found in Danha Hanbok.

Choose a pendant that suits your taste.

The beautiful color of tassels catches the eye.

Once the class starts, the teacher slowly demonstrates in front of you, so just follow along.

The first step is tying the knot. First time trying this knot was not easy, but I was able to make it by following the teacher.

It was nice that the teacher kindly helped when I has hard time.

Ta-da! The traditional knot is now complete!

After completing the knot, you need to put on the pendant on the thread. Actually, you can easily thread with a needle.

This is an another pendant design!

Now it's time to make the bag!

The process of making a bag is simpler than you think! Just tie the knot well!

Once you attach the previously made tassel to the finished bag, you're done!

The bag is the perfect size for carrying personal items such as cosmetics or a phone.

It goes really well with Hanbok as well!

You can also make other bags with different Bojagi fabrics.

You can rent a Hanbok and carry your handmade bag at Gyeongbokgung Palace for amazing photos. For a unique experience and memorable souvenirs, we highly recommend trying the Danha Hanbok one-day class!
