Our Visit

Today, I visited a hanbok rental shop called 'Hanbok Closet' near Anguk Station and Gyeongbokgung Palace. if you book through Creatrip, you can also receive 10,000 KRW dsicount!

In front of Hanbok Closet, there is a Korean cultural property, Yoon Boseon's House. Yun Boseon's House is a house built during the Joseon Dynasty with a pretty exterior!

When you come into the building and go down to the basement, you'll see a beautifully decorated hallway and entrance.

When you enter the store and go to the right inside, you will see many Hanboks displayed. Hanbok Closet's hanbok is almost like new clothes. I like it because the hanbok is in very neat condition.

After confirming the reservation with the staff, I left my luggage in the storage locker. Each locker has a lock so you can safely leave your belongings without worrying about losing them.

Hanbok Closet takes care of one team at a time without receiving many customers at the same time. And when booking a photoshoot together, we were recommend Hanboks that suits our image and photoshoot concept.

From pastel tones to primary colors, there are a variety of colored jackets and skirts to choose from according to your taste. Information about Hanbok briefly shared, Jeogori is the top part of Hanbok and has a short length to make the upper body look smaller.

Gradient colored skirt and skirt with patterns also exist. You can choose from what you like to wear!

Various men's Hanboks and cute children's Hanboks are also available!

Looking in the mirror in front of the big full-body robe, I tried to find the Hanbok that best suited the jacket and skirt.

The staff even recommended a Hanbok that suits me.

On the dressing table, there are various hair accessories such as hairpins and hair bands that go well with Hanbok.

Norigae is an accessory worn by women, tied to the waist of a Hanbok jacket or skirt. Today I chose a norigae that goes well with the Hanbok I picked out.

When wearing hanbok, first put on the underskirt before putting on the main skirt. Since it is not a hoop skirt but a jar skirt, it brings out the natural volume of the skirt, rather than an artificial fullness. After that, the staff helps you to wear a skirt, jacket, and apron.

When you change your clothes and come out, it's time to style your hair. Wearing a selected Hanbok, I decided to style my hair in a daenggi hairstyle. Daenggi hair is a traditional hairstyle for unmarried women, braided with three strands. Basic ponytail, braiding is free, and hairpins require an additional fee.

The staff braided my hair meticulously and attached a hairpin at the end of the hair, and finished by putting on a fancy hair accessory.

Topknot hairstyle is complete!

My friend is going to do a binyeo hairstyle today.

In Hanbok Closet, there are various colors and designs of hairpins ranging from luxurious jade, pink, to yellow.

The staff quickly braided my hair and completed a hairpin hairstyle. Beautiful and colorful hairpins are also pinned around the hair bun.

Isn't the atmosphere so fancy? If you want to pull all your hair up neatly and create a sophisticated look, try a hairpin hairstyle!

In winter, wearing warm and fluffy fur accessories together will make you even cuter!

Now it's time to choose glamorous accessories that go well with Hanbok! Denki, Hair flower, Nori dog, Bag, Shoes, Hat are accessories that can be used for free. Wearing an okbangee adds a touch of elegance to your hanbok.

Finally, you have to wear Korean traditional socks called deosin and shoes.

Ta-da! All Hanbok outfits are now complete. Additionally, wearing a bag can make your Hanbok styling even more eye-catching. The quality of the clothes is high so they do not feel rough or prickly on the skin.

We were surprised to find a studio inside the Hanbok Closet. Hanbok rental and photo studio operation at the same time seems to be unique!

Inside the studio, I picked out the props I wanted. If you have your own props, feel free to bring them in for the shoot.

Selfie shooting is available for 20 minutes. With friends, you can took various photos neatly, playfully, brightly, and with various expressions. At first, it may feel awkward, but because you are shooting self-portraits in a private studio where no one else can see, you will soon be able to make natural expressions and poses.

Shooting is done through a wireless remote control. When you are in a natural pose and ready for the shoot, press the button on the remote control to start shooting.

Even though the small wireless remote may not be visible in the shot, if you are concerned about it being seen, it may be helpful to have a companion nearby to press it for you.

On the right side of the camera, there is also a large mirror so you can check what expression and pose you are making. There is a large monitor on the left side of the camera, so you can see how the shooting is going in between.

Having fun shooting, before I knew it, 20 minutes had passed.

After the filming is finished, I went to the monitor room where I could check and select the photos taken.

We decided to proceed with 2 color photos and 9-cut photos. The 2 photos to be retouched and printed are selected as individual photos, and the 9-cut photo consists of 3 individual photos and 3 photos taken together!

When selecting 9 divided photos, write the file name on the photo in order with 1, 2, 3. Also, please write down the text you want to put in two portrait photos and 9-cut photos in Notepad.

We have received the corrected version within a week!

Where would be a good place to take pictures? I also attached some model photos. As shown in this picture, you should take pictures with a camera from a distance to capture the beautiful colors of Hanbok well, and your face will also come out nicely!

If you would like to see more details and make a reservation for the Bukchon Photo Studio, check out here!

After using the self-studio, I went outdoors to take snap photos. Wearing a hanbok and taking outdoor snap photos, you can preserve a special experience in Korea as a good memory.

Today's shoot took place at Gyeongbokgung Palace. The photo shoot location may vary depending on the situation. It was very difficult for me to pose alone, but fortunately the photographer paid attention to every detail of the pose and expression.

Following the photographer's guide, we moved around and took photos in various locations. The photographer knows well about a photo spot where the sunlight comes in just right and the scenery is beautiful, so you can take a once-in-a-lifetime photo.

When shooting outdoors, the soft colors of Hanbok definitely stand out!

Looking at each other and laughing, holding hands and walking, facing each other and making natural expressions and poses.

The outcome of how the photo will come out is really looking forward to!!

We received the retouched version about a week later! If you want to take a nostalgic photo wearing a traditional Korean Hanbok, we recommend 'Hanbok Closet' located at Anguk Station and Gyeongbokgung Palace!
