Avoid wearing makeup or lenses for an accurate analysis. Even if you have put on makeup, you should remove it before the analysis.
We recommend bringing your own cosmetics that you use for product recommendations after the analysis.
If you have sensitive skin, please bring your own basic cosmetics when booking the makeup option.
We conduct the diagnosis without glasses or colored lenses for an accurate analysis. If you have poor eyesight, please wear transparent lenses. (*However, if you wear glasses regularly, you can wear them throughout the analysis.)
Avoid excessive drinking the day before and get enough sleep before visiting.
An accurate analysis may be difficult immediately after skincare procedures or tanning.
Avoid wearing accessories that may interfere with the diagnosis.
If you are more than 15 minutes late for your reservation, it may be considered a no-show and a refund will not be provided.

Our Visit
At The Bom, you can do everything from personal color analysis to makeup! The shop is located less than a 5-minute walk from Exit 3 of Myeongdong Station, so it is easy to get to and is in a more quiet and peaceful area, in the opposite direction of Myeongdong Shopping Street.
The Bom has a main hall and two rooms, with one of them being the personal color analysis room. Behind the personal color room, there is a table for photo surveys, cosmetics recommendations, and theory explanations.
The other room is where makeup is done. The store is decorated in a white tone, so its great for personal color and makeup. Also, Spring Day is a place that recently opened, so all the tools and equipment are new!
I received the Personal Color Analysis + Makeup option today. First, I went to receive a diagnosis for my personal color. Before starting, I filled out a pre-questionnaire.
If you have any questions while filling out the questionnaire, you can ask the consultant.
After completing the survey, the consultant analyzes each the questionnaire and explains the basic theory of personal color based on the content. The theoretical explanation was very well explained and the interpretation made it much easier.
Afterwards, I moved to another seat to start the official personal color analysis. First, the consultant analyzed both warm tone and cool tone. I was always curious as to whether I was warm-toned or cool-toned! But when an expert explained it to me, I could see the distinct difference.
After the initial warm tone and cool tone diagnosis, a deeper diagnosis is done according to chroma and value. The consultant told me that if I use colors that are too white I look sickly, and if I use colors that are too bright, it makes my complexion look dark, so she recommended the summer cool mute color palette as my best colors.
On the contrary, we also checked what colors I should avoid! For me, this was bright colors, such as winter vivid. The consultant said that if your worst colors are colors that you like, you can still use them as accents. Personal color is not about only using your best colors and never wearing your worst colors! It's about how to use colors properly. There is no rule that you should never use your worst colors!

This is the end of the personal color analysis with the best color and worst color. Now it's time to find out what type of cosmetics I should use!
I brought the makeup products I use, and we applied them on the diagnostic paper. The consultant would let me know if the products I currently use match my personal color well, and recommend products.
The Bom recommends a lip color and allows you to try it on to see if it matches well with your own lip color when mixed. Even if you recommend a lipstick that matches the diagnosis, it is important to try the color directly on your lips because there are cases where it does not suit your own lip color!
If you like the recommended product, you can take a photo. After this, it's a must to visit Olive Young!
The consultant then shows us more products that are suitable for my personal color in a PowerPoint presentation. Make sure to take a picture of this page as well so that you can keep it! Now we are done with the personal color analysis. It's time to go to the next room to get my makeup done.

The makeup artist gave me makeup that suits my personal color results and my overall image.
One of the most important parts of makeup is mascara, isn't it? Every single eyelash was beautifully lifted, and I was very satisfied.
The makeup artist used a soft pink summer tone to match my personal color!
Through this experience, I even learned how to apply lip makeup properly! As you can see, it's becoming more and more natural in the photos. The makeup is complete with the final touch on the lips.
