Today, I visited Lotte Duty Free's Myeongdong Main Store. Let's find out about VIP card issuance and usage at the Myeongdong Main Store!
Before entering the Lotte Duty-Free Shop main branch in Myeongdong, the hallway is decorated as Star Avenue. Star Avenue has various photos and videos of different celebrities, which can only be seen at Lotte Duty-Free Shop Myeongdong branch. In particular, there are various idol handprints on display, making it fun to find your favorite idol and touch their handprints.
If you've seen all of Star Avenue, now let's go to the duty-free shop! There are representative brands on each floor of the duty-free shop. By the way, up to the 8th floor is a department store, and the duty-free shop starts from the 9th floor. Since the 9th floor shares space with the department store, the elevator usually doesn't stop there, and the duty-free elevator operates from the 10th to 12th floor. Don't be surprised if the 9th floor button doesn't work, just get off at the 10th floor and explore. The place to get a VIP coupon is on the 11th floor. Let's go to the 11th floor to change the card before shopping!
If you go down to the 11th floor and follow the signs, you'll come across a place where you can get a VIP card. When you arrive, there will be an employee who can speak Chinese, making it easy for you to handle your business.
Get a ticket from the kiosk and wait. It's convenient because the number of people waiting is displayed on the kiosk, so you can predict the waiting time.
When it's your turn, present your passport and VIP coupon.
The employee will give you a pad to fill out the form. It is much easier than doing it on paper.
Show them your PRE LDF Coupon as well. They will charge 10,000 KRW onto the card.
You will not receive a separate card but a sticker with a barcode like the one in the picture above. All you need to do is present your passport and the discount will be available.
The LFG Coupon is printed out in receipt form. Before making your purchase, show the store employee the barcode on the coupon to receive your discount.
Now that you've issued your card and coupon, it's officially time to shop! Navigate throughout the building with the touch screens all over the floors.
While you're checking things out, you might stumble upon some sweet deals like this. Just a heads up though, discounts of over 30% won't work with any coupons, so keep that in mind while you're shopping!
If there is a product you want to purchase, proceed to checkout!
Hand over your passport and PRE LDF receipt to the staff member, and also show them the barcode for your discount coupon. Once they scan your passport and enter the VIP code, the discount benefits will be applied right away. And if you also provide the LDF and discount coupon codes, all the discount benefits will be fully applied!
If you check the receipt, you can see that the VIP discount, coupon discount, and individual LDF PAY under CASH have all been applied to the discount details. It's essential to check if all the discounts have been properly applied after receiving the receipt! That's all for learning about how to get and use the VIP card at the duty-free store.
